Writing, no matter how technical or academic it becomes, should always first and foremost be a creative venture. It’s a chance to put a little piece of yourself into permanent record. While speech is transitory, text on a page can be forever. Writing can serve to spread your voice beyond the verbal and long after you’ve passed on. We should always strive to put a little piece of ourselves into what we write.
