writers need readers"

What occurs during a face-to-face consultation?
Most of the consultations at the UWC are face-to-face, meaning that you will come to the UWC in person for your consultation. During a face-to-face consultation, a consultant sits down with you in a one-on-one consultation where you engage in a constructive conversation about your document. During your session, the consultant takes notes on a record of consultation (RoC). Both you and the consultant keep a copy of the RoC.
What should I do before my consultation?
Consultants can help you at any stage in the writing process. You do not need a finished document to visit the UWC. Consultants can help you brainstorm, expand an outline, or evaluate a rough draft. It is helpful, though, to bring any documentation related to your project. This may include notes, outlines, rough drafts, or descriptions of your assignment.
